About Mill Valley
who
we are
Mill Valley Kitchen is the shared passion of husband and wife team Mike & Abby Rakun founded in their practices at home of preparing food with their children that is both nourishing and delicious. MVK is a tribute to the Mill Valley Region, a Northern California community famous for its thoughtfully crafted food, and credited with the birth of the Slow Food movement and sustainable farming. Utilizing sustainable and locally sourced meats, produce, and the finest seafoods, our menu offers variety and comfort for an active clientele that knows living a healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to mean sacrificing flavor or fun.
Open for Lunch, Happy Hour and Dinner 7 days a week, we always have a variety of options to accommodate special dietary needs like gluten-free, vegan, and other allergies or dietary restrictions. The focus is fresh, feel-good food. We’ve got nothing to hide - when it comes to nutrition facts, we operate with total transparency providing nutritional disclosure printed right on the menu.

- Jesse K 2/08/2026Awesome. This place had such great service right from the beginning that I was so impressed. I forget our server's name but he was one of the best Ive had ever. He was quick, funny, attentive but not in a lingering way. You could tell that the culture of this business was very good just by how happy staff were to be there. The food was exceptional. I'm picky (probably too picky) I got the white sea bass and it was perfect. Highly recommend this establishment.read moreread less

- Ted Siefkes 12/25/2025First visit, won’t be our last! Maybe all the stars aligned, but Wow. We had ordered the ginger shrimp for an hors d’oeuvre, then ratatouille & grilled salmon. Even a side of crispy potatoes. A rare review for us, but each forkful of whatever we ordered had amazing flavor. We even scraped for crumbs off the bowl of potatoes. Service was excellent, thanks Scarlet! Don’t forget dessert, no wrong choice there either. Plus pleasantly surprised with our bill! Kudos!read moreread less
